Ads, sponsored posts, and affiliate programs

While my site is an ad-free zone, I do at times participate in affiliate programs or sponsored posts. Therefore, actions taken from hyperlinks may result in commissions for me. In particular, I am a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for me to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.

Sponsored posts are super rare, and will always be clearly declared within the post.

The other common place you’ll find affiliate hyperlinks is over on my FAQs page (as a part of “cool stuff,”). I will only be an affiliate for a program or app if I’ve used it myself and can honestly recommend it to you.

Reprinting/republishing

You think something I’ve written is profound enough that you’d like to quote it? That’s super cool. I just ask that you credit it to me, Kirsten Akens, and provide a hyperlink back to my original post. If you want to use content I’ve written in something more formal than your own blog post (an e-book, a printed book, an e-course, etc.), I’d really appreciate knowing ahead of time. Just drop me a note!

Please do not reprint whole blog posts or pages from this site.

Currently I do allow and appreciate comments on my blog posts. If you have something to say, please do. However, also note I do not endorse users, and I’m not responsible for statements made by third parties. And if a comments section gets ugly, I’ll cut it off. Really.

This site only collects the personal information you voluntarily provide to me, which includes your name and e-mail address, in order to subscribe to my newsletter or comment on the blog.  If you opt-in to receive my newsletter, the option to unsubscribe will be included in every e-mail.
